Sharjah 24: His Excellency Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, witnessed the end of the activities of the "Yes to Sports... No to Drugs" initiative, which was organised by the Sports and Social Activities Department of the Media and Public Relations Department, the Anti-Narcotics Department, and the Community Police Department, at the Sharjah Police Club stadiums.
This came in the presence of His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, His Excellency Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Shurooq, a number of Sharjah Police officers, and a number of Sharjah Football Club players.
His Excellency Major General Al Shamsi congratulated the winners, praising the competence of the community members in the competition, which produced high skills in the level of physical fitness, stressing that the goal of the educational and sports initiative has a major role in cultivating self-confidence, and a way for preventing the use of drugs.
At the end of the ceremony, the Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police honoured the supporters and organisers of the event, namely the Sharjah Club for Self-Defence Sports, the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) and others, expressing his thanks and appreciation for their efforts that contributed significantly to the success of this event.
