Sharjah 24: In coordination with the competent authorities and the association's regional offices, Sharjah Charity International (SCI) implemented a number of humanitarian projects in Asia and Africa throughout 2022, including the construction of 97 charitable shops since the beginning of 2022 and handing them over to those who are eligible in a number of countries covered by the aid.
SCI’s Director of Projects and Aid Administration, Mohammed Hamdan Al Zari, stated that the association is represented by the Projects Department and External Aid, working in tandem with the embassies of the country and the association's offices to establish charitable shops in the most impoverished neighbourhoods, as determined by periodic studies.
There are 21 endowment stores in Mauritania, 17 in the Philippines, 14 in Senegal, 13 in Bangladesh, 11 in Ghana, 6 in Indonesia, 5 in Burkina Faso, 1 in Egypt, 7 in Nepal, and 2 in Niger, he said, adding that the association plans to support more such initiatives in the future.
