Commenting on this, Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Supreme Emergency Committee, Sharjah Municipality Director-General and Head of the Rain Emergency Team, confirmed that the municipality’s working teams had worked very efficiently in dealing with water pools, providing all capabilities to deal with the weather, withdraw water pools, improve traffic flow, thanks to the pre-rain preparation plans.
The Head of the Rain Emergency Team stated that the Municipality cadres worked for 100 continuous hours to withdraw the water pools, highlighting the joint coordination between all committees and providing each area with a larger number of tanks and pumps, ensuring to complete the work at the maximum speed, as the municipality provided more than 120 tanks and 100 pumps, in addition to the dam stations and the tools and equipment needed to drain the water.
He noted that the call center received more than 600 calls in the rain, and all of them were transferred to the teams operating in the field for immediate handling.
