Sharjah24: Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” concluded the activities of the eighth National Entrepreneurship Exhibition that was held in Al Jada, which witnessed a great number of visitors with the participants of 25 exhibitors form entrepreneurs of various commercial projects. The exhibitors displayed their distinguished products that are of family interest, such as clothing, fashion, perfumes, incense, handicrafts, distinguished handicrafts, and food.
The exhibition is an integrated business platform for entrepreneurs who own small and medium enterprises in the emirate. It also seeks to shed light on successful business experiences and innovative projects, which contributes to supporting the economic sector of Sharjah and motivating entrepreneurs to innovate by establishing their own brands. Likely, the exhibition presented a variety of activities for all family members of different age groups, which included the participation of Sharjah Museums Authority by organizing hand and craft workshops for children.
Commenting on that, Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, SEDD Chairman, illustrated that the Department contributes to advancing the economy in the emirate, stimulating commercial transactions, and encouraging young entrepreneurs to compete, whether at the local or international level. In addition, he said that the eight National Entrepreneurship Exhibition comes as a continuation of SEDD’s efforts to make the best use of exhibitions as one of the best promotions and marketing mechanisms that support entrepreneurs, as it provided many activities, events and products, in addition to being an excellent opportunity for shopping.
Furthermore, he stressed that SEDD works extensively according to the wise directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the pursuit of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council, to support citizens to join the market and practice economic work and support their businesses, initiatives and ideas. Also, he pointed out that organizing the exhibition comes within the Department's strategic plans, which are based on developing economic sectors and working to highlight and support them by all means. Likely, the exhibition contributed to the support of the national sector and the commercial projects of national entrepreneurs and the domestic sector.
Moreover, he added that organizing such exhibitions specialized in displaying and marketing products and services contributes greatly to spreading the culture of entrepreneurship. He said that the exhibition is considered one of the Department's initiatives that aim to support and encourage national projects among various groups and involve them with each other to exchange experiences and achieve cooperation among them. Also, he stated that the aim of holding this exhibition and other marketing exhibitions in various regions of the Emirate is to promote their products and services, assist in marketing them, encourage them to continue and achieve sustainability for their projects, and introduce the public to them.
On the other side, Ahmed Saif bin Saed Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director of Commercial Affairs Department at SEDD, said that the exhibition, with its attendance, contributed to providing opportunities for citizens of small and medium enterprises to present their promising products and projects and promote them to raise the commercial level of their activities. He also pointed out that the Department is working to enable this category to achieve success in national entrepreneurship in the country in all economic sectors, as the exhibition promotes the culture of entrepreneurship and pioneering thinking.
