SCC approves budget of Sharjah government for 2023

Sharjah24: The Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) approved the draft law regarding the budget of Sharjah government departments and agencies for the fiscal year 2023 AD, during its 6th meeting held on Thursday morning, at its headquarters in the city of Sharjah, as part of its work for its fourth regular session of the tenth legislative term.
The session was chaired by His Excellency Ali Mehd Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Sharjah Consultative Council, in the presence of several other dignitaries. 

The work of the Council began with the ratification of the minutes of the fifth meeting, after which the Council discussed in a confidential session the report prepared by the Financial, Economic and Industrial Affairs Committee of the Council.

Waleed Ibrahim Al Sayegh, Director-General of the Sharjah Finance Department delivered a speech in which he praised the role of the Sharjah Consultative Council and its keenness to support government departments and enhance their work, stressing that the role of the Council is vital in discussing the budget of the Sharjah government and presenting important recommendations. He has further appreciated the constant interest of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, lauding his constant keenness to ensure the development in the Emirate of Sharjah and providing a decent life for every human being.


His Excellency Ali Mehd Al Suwaidi has praised the remarkable role of Sharjah Finance Department, lauding its effort in preparing this budget and its endeavors in advancing the wheel of improvement and development to achieve the required government performance.


At the end of the session, the Secretary-General of the Council, Ahmed Saeed Al-Jarwan, announced that the next session will be held on Thursday, corresponding to the fifth of January of the year 2023 AD, and will be devoted to discussing the Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs in the Government of Sharjah.
