Al Shamsi added: "After the success seen at Sharjah Livestock Market in Al Sajaa Industrial area in attracting a large segment of consumers and livestock traders since its opening, the market has effectively risen to a prominent position at both the local and regional levels, branding itself as one of the most important livestock markets in the Emirate and the region. The livestock market in Kalba, which spans an area of 20,740 square meters, opened its doors to guests recently but has quickly gained popularity with customers. Sharjah Asset Management Company will manage and operate the market; currently, between 100 to 120 heads are slaughtered per hour on the premises."
Khorfakkan slaughterhouse:
Al Shamsi also highlighted the success of the Khorfakkan slaughterhouse, which provides services to the residents of the city according to the highest standards. The slaughterhouse strictly adheres to the highest hygiene standards set by the Sharjah Municipality, helping to reduce risks that fresh meat may be exposed to. Safety on all fronts for staff are ensured, who routinely slaughter 120 to 140 animals per hour.

The market also offers additional products and facilities, including 44 animal feed shops, 34 mixed-use shops, 30 nursery shops, an auction yard for livestock sales, a square for the Friday market, a mosque that can accommodate 386 worshippers, and the slaughterhouse accommodates about 200 heads per hour.
