Sharjah 24: Brigadier General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, affirmed that the United Arab Emirates has devoted all its efforts and attention to respecting human rights, deriving this from its cultural heritage and its constitution that guarantees civil liberties for all, and its legislative system that promotes the principles of justice, equality and tolerance, and supports humanitarian action.
This came during the Sharjah Police’s celebration of the International Human Rights Day 2022, under the motto "Dignity, Freedom and Justice for All", at the headquarters of the Sharjah Police Academy, as part of its efforts and endeavours to enhance the protection of human rights, and its vision based on the fact that the human being is the focus of the comprehensive development renaissance in the country, and spreading the relevant culture among its members.
Deputy Commander-in-Chief highlighted the importance of this event, which seeks to highlight the UAE's constant interest in human rights, through the activities, laws and tasks entrusted to leaders at the state level, including the Ministry of Interior, to achieve the goals of sustainable development, in line with its ambitious vision in accordance with human values.
The celebration, which was attended by several police officers, department heads, and representatives from agencies collaborating with Sharjah Police, included the screening of a film about tolerance and giving in the UAE, as well as an array of activities.
At the conclusion of the event, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police honoured the entities that contributed to the success of this ceremony.
