Sharjah 24: The members of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Sharjah Police have arrested a gang of 5 members of Asian nationality specialised in robbing stores in the emirate.
Colonel Faisal Bin Nassar, Deputy Director of the CID said that by research and investigation, it was proved that the suspects were involved in several thefts from inside commercial stores in the Emirate of Sharjah, so the theft crimes teams set a well-articulated plan to catch the gangsters and seize all its members.
Bin Nassar indicated that by interrogating members, they confessed to forming a gang to rob shops, adding that the police seized various stolen items at their residence, including mobile phones, sums of money, watches, computers, electronic devices, and others.
The suspects will be transferred to the Public Prosecution to complete the legal procedures against them.
Bin Nassar called on store owners to strengthen preventive measures, such as connecting stores to a high-quality camera system, securing doors, not leaving large sums of money inside them, and keeping valuables in safe places.
Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, praised the efforts of the Criminal Investigation Department in combating crime and enhancing security and safety, praising the competencies of the police, who have demonstrated superior capabilities in detecting criminal incidents, apprehending the perpetrators, and bringing them to justice.
