Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH) is participating in the second edition of the Sharjah Events Festival, organised by the "Sharjah Events" website of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, with the motto "#SeeSharjah", at Al Majaz Amphitheatre, running until December 11.
Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, said: “We are always keen to participate in various activities and events, as an affirmation of the approach of the Sharjah Government of joint work and cooperation between institutions and agencies, in a way that contributes to translating and implementing the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.”

He added: “Through these various participations, we are keen to instill heritage and its value in the hearts of everyone and the new generation in a different way, to consolidate the features of the national identity among children, to introduce the new generation to the beautiful past, and to enrich the aspect of the popular heritage in the hearts of members of society, in addition to igniting the desire of individuals to discover the aesthetics of the past, through its rich and diverse experiences and distinguished competencies in the world of heritage.”

For her part, Aisha Ghabesh, Director of Events and Activities Department at the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, said: “The Sharjah Institute for Heritage is keen to present everything related to heritage and its place in Emirati society, as it is a major component of national identity, and our participation represents a vital opportunity for families to have fun, educational and recreational times.”
