The workshops were presented in special sessions for employees, and others for department directors and senior management. Through these workshops, the authority seeks to reveal the capabilities to address the challenges in a clear and precise manner by dealing with internal and external variables, and directing resources towards optimal utilisation.
The focus during these sessions is on strengths and weaknesses at the level of analysing the internal environment, and areas of opportunities and challenges at the level of analysing the external environment, thus achieving competitive advantage, predictability, and making the most appropriate decisions in order to achieve the desired goals.
Hessa Bourguiba, Director of the SDAA’s Department of Strategic Planning and Institutional Excellence, confirmed that the internal and external environment analysis sessions are the first step towards developing the strategic system of any organisation, as it is the most important entry point for preparing its operational plans, explaining that after these sessions, data is collected, results are sorted and analysed, and more quality and effective strategies are prepared in accordance with updated global methods and requirements that keep pace with developments.
