Sharjah24: The Sharjah Police General Command won second place in the Ideas UK Award 2022, in the category “Health and Safety”, with its innovative project “Drug Fingerprint”, which has intellectual property, contributing to taking proactive measures to stop the smuggling and exporting of narcotic substances.
This award was crowned, at the British Ideas Awards, by Colonel Expert Naji Al Hammadi, First Lieutenant Salem Al Khayal, and Expert Dr. Taj Al Sir Abbas from the Sharjah Police Forensic Laboratory.
Colonel Engineer Expert Adel Al Mazmi, Head of the Sharjah Police Forensic Laboratory, stressed the importance of the winning, emphasising that it reflects SP’s distinguished approach in enhancing its competitiveness in the innovative field, in light of the strong competition from various participating local and international institutions and entities.
Adel Al Mazmi congratulated the working team who worked on this unique and qualitative project, expressing his pride with the achieved remarkable accomplishment.
The “Drug Fingerprint” project is an innovative scientific research method in the field of examining seized drugs.
