Sharjah organises shadow plays for first time in Kalba

Sharjah24: Maryam Ateeq Al Kindi, Head of Planning and Programs Department in the Department of Culture in the Eastern Region, revealed the organisation of a series of shadow play performances for the first time, in November in the eastern region, starting from Kalba.

Al Kindi stated that the Department of Culture produces the plays in the Eastern Province, written by Hamid Fares, and directed by Mubarak Mashi.

In statements to Sharjah 24, she explained that the department is working on organizing a series of shows, successively, in Khorfakkan, Dibba Al Hisn, and Wadi Al Helou.

Al Kindi confirmed that the shows are held in neighborhood parks and open areas to attract families and children in particular, aiming to enrich children's imagination and encourage them to read and write, in addition to promoting values through the plays' content.
