At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah welcomed the attendees, praising the Academy's efforts in various fields of supporting the Arabic language.
During the meeting, Ruler of Sharjah signed a decision on formation of the members of the Academy.
The decision stipulates that the conference of the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah will consist of the following members:
1-Prof. Dr. Abdullah Al-Washmi, Secretary General of the King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language.
2- Prof. Dr. Khalil Al-Nahwi, Chairman of the Language Council in Mauritania
3- Prof. Dr. Saleh Belaid, President of the Supreme Council of the Arabic Language in Algeria.
4- Prof. Dr. Muhammad Suleiman Salman Al-Saudi, Secretary General of the Jordanian Academy of Arabic Language.
5- Prof. Dr. Bakri Muhammad Al-Haj, President of the Academy of the Arabic Language in Khartoum.
6- Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Ahmed El-Sayed, President of the Academy of the Arabic Language in Damascus.
7- Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Al-Hajjari, Director of the Arabization Coordination Bureau in Rabat.
8- Prof. Dr. Hassan Abdel-Rahman Al-Silwadi, President of the Palestinian Academy of Arabic Language.
9- Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mustafa Al-Shaibani, Vice President of the Academy of the Arabic Language in Libya.
10- Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hussein Al Yassin, President of the Iraqi Scientific Academy.
11- Prof. Dr. Salah Fadl, President of the Academy of the Arabic Language in Cairo.’
12- Dr. Issa Al Hammadi, Director of the Educational Center for the Arabic Language for the Gulf States.
13- Prof. Dr. Abdel Salam Issawi, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Arabic Language, Manouba University.
14- Prof. Dr. Mamoun Wajih, Scientific Director of the Historical Dictionary Project.
The term of membership in the Academy is three years, renewable for a similar period of time , and those whose membership has expired may be reappointed.
The meeting discussed the march of the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah, The meeting also dealt with the future plans of the Academy in developing the learning, teaching and dissemination of the Arabic language and cooperation with a number of institutions concerned with it, which contributes to the expansion of the Academy's activities.
The meeting was attended by: Prof. Ahmed Al-Dhubain, former director of King Saud University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Saafin, former head of the Arabic language department at the University of Sharjah, Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Saif Al-Toubi, director of the Center for Arabization, Translation and Interest in Arabic in the Sultanate of Oman, and Dr. Muhammed Safi Al Mosteghanemi, Secretary General of the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah, and Muhammad Hassan Khalaf, Director General of the Sharjah broadcasting Authority.
