Sharjah24: The Sharjah Government Employees Club, in conjunction with the Al-Thiqa Club for the Disabled and under the supervision of the Sharjah Sports Council, held the draw for the twenty-fourth championship for government agencies yesterday. There were sixteen different groups representing various government agencies and public institutions in Sharjah.

The teams, which come from different parts of Sharjah's institutions, were put into four groups at random.

Dr Tariq Sultan bin Khadim, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Sharjah Government Employees Club, was present and stated that this tournament is one of many hosted by the Sharjah Government Employees Club in various sports events to realise the vision and fulfil the directions of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, which is concerned with providing all services to Sharjah government employees. He also noted that the aim of the tournament is to develop the spirit of honest competition in a family-like atmosphere.

Counsellor Hamid Ali Al-Abbar, who was present at the draw, also affirmed that the event's organising committee has created working teams in order to organise the tournament in the proper manner and thanked all participating institutions, bodies, and departments.

The tournament's technical director, Abdel Nasser Brahmieh, reviewed the tournament's and teams' rules.
