Sharjah24: Dr. Muhaddith Al Hashemi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA), Ziad Shatat, Director of the Continuous Improvement Department-Project Manager, and a number of other directors of departments in the Authority, attended the launch of the first phase of the "Itqan" programme, with a large number of principals of Sharjah's private schools.
Until next November, 55 private schools will be targeted in the first phase of "Itqan," one of the most notable initiatives in Sharjah aimed at executing a complete evaluation of the quality of the performance of private schools. The second phase will begin in February and March, targeting 56 schools, After the programme's training course finished on October 7, with the participation of over 100 from different of countries.
 
The Chairperson of the Sharjah Private Education Authority, Dr. Muhadditha Al Hashimi, confirmed that the Authority's goal with the Itqan programme is to provide a development tool that can serve the Authority's strategies and its constant efforts to improve the performance, quality, and efficiency of the educational system in order to realise the Authority's vision of "excellent education."
 
According to Ali Al Hosani, director of the Sharjah Private Education Authority, all further actions would be determined by the findings of the comprehensive report. Al Hosani lauded the efforts of all schools' administrations.
 
According to Ziad Shatat, Director of the Continuous Improvement Department and the Project Manager, the programme follows the recognised framework in the country and has two primary components: improvement and upgrading of the educational services supplied by schools.
