Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Children, affiliated to the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, has qualified for the international Waisy competition, which will be held remotely via the competition platform in early December in the United States of America.
This comes after winning the local Waisy competition that was held on Saturday, eighth of October.
The qualification came after the project to assist drivers in driving won the first place. The team included Hoor Al Balushi, Jawaher Al Ameri and Dana Al Marzouqi; while the Alzheimer's patient assistance project came second, and the attendance system project came third.
Eight teams of 23 children participated in the competition and presented their projects before the jury and the attendance of officials and parents of children.
At the end of the competition, all participants were honoured with certificates.
It is worth noting that the participating teams prepared for the competition through a training programme through which they acquired multiple skills in how to create their projects.
