Sharjah24: His Excellency Ali Mehd Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC), affirmed that the Council continues to develop its parliamentary work to enhance its technical and administrative system and to serve the Emirate of Sharjah and its society in order to achieve the interest of citizens and residents.
He pointed out that the work of the next parliamentary session of the Council will witness the continuation of the national movement and work to enhance the performance of government institutions and agencies and develop various services in accordance with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

Al-Suwaidi noted that the Council, through the topics of its upcoming plenary sessions, will discuss a number of policies of government departments and bodies, reviewing the services and works they provide in light of their competencies and objectives.

This came during the meeting held yesterday morning in the presence of a number of dignitaries, at the council's headquarters in the city of Sharjah of the Sharjah Consultative Council Office, in preparation for the opening of the new parliamentary session within the fourth ordinary session of the tenth legislative term.

At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency Ali Mehd Al Suwaidi praised the establishment of the Consultative Council as an age-sensitive institution, praising the role of the Council’s General Secretariat and all its cadres under the supervision of the Secretary-General of the Council to fulfill the requirements and prepare the Council building as a parliamentary edifice to be age-sensitive.

During the meeting, the general topics that will be discussed during the next term according to the council's work plan during the coming period were reviewed, in addition to reviewing the parliamentary queries submitted by the members of the council and addressed to the heads of a number of government departments.

The attendees also discussed a number of proposals and work mechanisms and took appropriate decisions in their regard.
