Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA), in cooperation with the Emirates Publishers Association and "Knowledge without Borders", announced on Monday the start of implementing the "Library for Every Broadcaster" initiative.
Such efforts are in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on the importance of upgrading the knowledge of its media cadres.
This came during a meeting, which was attended by His Excellency Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, Director General of Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA), Rashid Al Obed, Director of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA), Rashid Al Kous, CEO of the Emirates Publishers Association, Mariam Al Hammadi, Manager of "Knowledge without Borders," and a number of channel, radio and media managers.
His Excellency Mohammed Khalaf stressed that the SBA’s investment in its media cadres is a central step to achieve its mission in advancing the Emirati media scene, and achieving a tangible and fundamental leap in the future of Arab media, to provide content that raises the awareness of the audience of SBA’s channels and radios.
His Excellency pointed out that the targeted books were carefully selected in cooperation with specialists, to include various fields of knowledge that enrich media cadres, as it deals with a package of literary, historical and linguistic topics.
