Sharjah 24: His Excellency Dr. Sulaiman Sarhan Al Zaabi, Head of the Municipalities Department, stated that Al Muntather Reserve afforestation project is one of the pioneering initiatives implemented by the Sharjah Municipality and Al Bataeh Municipality, which saw the planting of 5,000 seedlings of Sidr and Ghaf trees.
His Excellency Dr. Sulaiman Sarhan Al Zaabi maintained that the initiative of Al Muntather Reserve has provided green space for all government departments, institutions and bodies in the Emirate by planting seedlings, and growing trees that adapt to the environment and climatic conditions in this region.
His Excellency added, in statements to "Sharjah 24", that when the reserve turns green, the temperature will change, reducing the movement of sand dunes through air currents, and making this reserve will be one of the leading reserves in Sharjah.
