Sharjah24: In implementation of the visions of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to give priority to human resources as they are the cornerstone of development, Sharjah Municipality (SM) signed a memorandum of understanding with the skyline University College to enhance cooperation between the two sides and raise the efficiency levels of the SM human cadres by bolstering Integration between the academic science and practical application.
The MoU was signed in the presence of His Excellency Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director General of the SM, and Prof. Dr. Mohammad In'airat, Dean of Skyline University College, at the college headquarters.
Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji stated that the municipality will allow students of the Skyline University for field training in its various sectors to help them integrate into the labor market and apply their scientific gains on the ground. The municipality will also work to promote the college's programs and training courses for its employees as an educational partner.
The Director General of the municipality added that the memorandum of understanding contributes to strengthening cooperation between the municipality and Skyline University in the field of consulting and technical projects, and this includes providing training and necessary inspections through virtual reality glasses in the field of organising public parking, and using artificial intelligence to check parking violations, in addition to providing Scientific support in the field of parking management through the use of LPR smart surveillance cameras.
