Sharjah24: "Museums Express" initiative, launched by the Sharjah Museums Authority in early 2019, succeeded in attracting more than 11,817,000 students from the emirate's public schools, after resuming its tours that were halted due to the repercussions of the Coronavirus pandemic in November 2021, and is the first initiative of its kind, at the level of the region and the Middle East.
"Museums Express", which is held in cooperation with the Emirates School Education Foundation, and is supported by the Sharjah Environment Company "Bee'ah", aims to maximize its role as informal educational centers, able to reach the hearts and minds of students in unique and innovative ways, where the selected collections are displayed in pictures.
The authority was keen to activate participation through its visits to remote schools, as well as by being at the heart of important events in the emirate, as the first stations the convoy reached were Al Majaz Amphitheatre through the Sharjah Events Festival, and at Al Majaz Waterfront “Al Qasba” through the Reflection Festival, Al Qasimia University, Sharjah National Park, and Kalba Beach Park.
