Sharjah 24: The Federal Tax Authority's "Tax Clinic" campaign has started up again in all of the country's emirates with the aim of raising tax awareness and improving the level of tax compliance by encouraging direct and ongoing contact with business sectors.
According to Fatima Obaid Al Kaabi, director of the Trust Centre for Integrated Services in Mleiha, Sharjah, the recent series of awareness sessions were part of a tax clinic campaign organised in conjunction with the Federal Tax Authority and held at the Trust Centre over the course of three days. This was all done in accordance with the guidelines set forth by our enlightened government in an effort to ensure client satisfaction. Speaking exclusively to “Sharjah 24”, Al Kaabi elaborated that during these sessions, representatives of the authority raise awareness of the obligations required of those subjects to tax, respond to all inquiries from participants about value-added tax and excise tax, help them overcome any obstacles they may face in the application, and aid them in self-compliance so that they do not make any mistakes that could expose them to tax violations.
Al Kaabi emphasised that this initiative is part of an ongoing effort to put consumers’ satisfaction first.
