Sharjah24: Arada has partnered with Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa) to host a series of talks featuring an impressive all-female list of entrepreneurial speakers to mark Emirati Women’s Day this year. Held under the theme ‘Inspiring Reality…Sustainable Future’, this exclusive invitation-only event will take place on Monday, 29 August at YourSpace, Madar at Aljada from 6pm onwards.
Founded by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Mother of the Nation, in 2015, Emirati Women’s Day is an annual event to highlight the UAE’s journey in women empowerment, celebrate and promote their achievements, and continue to develop their capacities.
The Emirati Women’s Day event will feature two panel discussions focused on entrepreneurship and humanitarianism. The guest list includes Sheraa, NAMA Women Advancement, Sharjah Women’s Sports, the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment and The Big Heart Foundation, as well as female Emirati buyers of Arada property.
Speakers on the entrepreneurship panel include Najla Ahmed Al Midfa, CEO of Sheraa; Abeer Almutlaq, Founder of Wabi Sabi; Bashayer Al Obaidli, Co-Founder of Barakah Studio; Samira Al Nusairi, Founder of Seen Fragrances; Maryam Al Mulla, Founder of 71 Steak and Grill; and Maitha Al Ansari, Founder of House of 45. The panel will be moderated by Iman Ben Chaibah, Founder of Sail Publishing. Speakers on the humanitarian panel include Mahra Ahmed AlBalghouni from The Big Heart Foundation and Accenture Middle East’s Naila AlMoosawi.

As Sharjah’s biggest master developer, Arada hosts a busy event calendar throughout the year to benefit both residents at its communities, Aljada and Nasma Residences, and the wider public. Events held in the last year have included a major cultural concert to celebrate the UAE’s 50th National Day, a series of major sporting events and the ‘Summer of More’, an ongoing series of free activities for local families during the summer months. Arada’s events team also arranges free entertainment at Aljada and Nasma Central every weekend throughout the year.
In collaboration with Arada, the Emirati Women’s Day focused talks is one of the series of events that Sheraa hosts to celebrate and empower women entrepreneurs and changemakers from across industries. With the aim to transform Sharjah as a thriving innovation and entrepreneurial hub, Sheraa organizes a host of events all-year round, including the landmark annual Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival (SEF), a celebration of the spirit of entrepreneurship that gathers an authentic community of changemakers to experience three days of uplifting conversations, deep connection, personal growth and transformation.
