SAM organises blood donation campaign for employees

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Asset Management (SAM), investment arm of the Government of Sharjah, successfully organised a blood donation campaign, in cooperation with the Sharjah Blood Transfusion and Research Centre of the Emirates Health Services, aimed at encouraging company employees to contribute to healthy and humanitarian initiatives organised by the company and concerned authorities in the country.
The campaign is meant to highlight and promote a healthy lifestyle that benefits blood donors, such as stimulation of blood circulation and a reduction in the risk of contracting many diseases.

Saeed Sharar, Chief Operating Officer of Osool Services, said: “We are dedicated to continue in our efforts to organise such community and humanitarian initiatives on an ongoing basis, based on our vision at Sharjah Asset Management, for the need to involve our employees in campaigns that have a positive impact on their health and the society at large. The campaign reflects the spirit of giving, and the humanitarian responsibility that our employees feel towards providing ease for those in need of blood transfusion. It has also reinforced and drawn attention to the importance of ongoing volunteer work.”

Sharar stressed the company's eagerness to continue organising initiatives that reflect the company's vision and direction by spreading values of benevolence, giving, and promoting positive behaviours that benefit all members of society. The company also strives to enhance the position of the Emirate of Sharjah, which has historically been exemplary in achieving sustainable development centred on service and human health. 

Mona Al-Hawai, Director of the Sharjah Blood Transfusion and Research Centre of the Emirates Health Services, confirmed that the organisation is eager to promote the culture of blood donation through its various health facilities, particularly the Sharjah Blood Transfusion and Research Centre. The Centre, which is making unremitting efforts at enhancing healthcare services quality  according to the organisation’s strategy and to the highest global health standards, works diligently to ensure blood donors and blood stock products remain safe throughout the donation process. The director praised Sharjah Asset Management in their noble initiative to organise blood donation campaigns with the spirit of giving, noting that the Centre appreciates expanding its network of supportive partners and fruitful cooperation, which is an integral part of the Centre's strategy. The Centre ultimately strives to provide a sustainable stock of blood, to aid in life-saving measures and meet patient needs.

It is noteworthy that Sharjah Asset Management Company is a company with a global reputation in the field of building wealth, and was established exclusively by the Government of Sharjah.
