According to Khorfakkan Municipal Council member Mohammed Al Johari, agricultural development and reforestation have been top priorities for His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for decades. This priority is backed up by action plans from the right authorities in Sharjah, such as the Municipal Council and the municipality in Khorfakkan.

Khorfakkan Park, the Corniche Park, Aisha Bint Dawoud Park,Al Luluyah and Al Zubarah Gardens, Shis Park, and Al Rafisah Dam Rest House are some of the city's most renowned parks.
