Sharjah 24: As part of the activities of the Youth Field Volunteer Programme "Initiators 5", organised by the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD), targeting volunteers between the ages of 13-17 years old, Al Asala Club of the SSSD received a delegation from the Calligraphy Museum.
This comes with the participation of 30 volunteers, in addition to a group of elderly people from Al Asala Club, in a sewing workshop.
Kholoud Abdullah Al Ali, Director of the Elderly Services Centre, stated that the aim of the workshop is for the elderly group to communicate with the youth to benefit from their experiences and listen to their stories about the past, stressing the keenness to organise weekly events that include meetings between the two generations.
