Sharjah24: The Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth, affiliated with the Fun Foundation, organised, on Tuesday, a workshop to qualify promising arbitrators, at Al Majaz Amphitheatre, which aims to prepare young and talented young people in the field of films to become film arbitrators.
Fatima Mushrabek, Head of the Festival Department at the Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth, which is affiliated with the Fun Foundation, explained that the festival, which began in 2013, aims to introduce children and youth to the cultures of the world through cinema, in addition to creating a platform to express their cinematic views and showcase their projects.
In statements to "Sharjah 24", Musharbek indicated that the workshop for qualifying promising arbitrators includes 25 trainees, who have been carefully selected among more than 100 applicants, adding that the workshop aims to develop film criticism in the affiliates, and prepare a promising generation of filmmakers, to judge the category of the best film for children.
