Sharjah 24: Curtains have come down on the sixth edition of the Al Dhaid Dates Festival which saw an unprecedented success in terms of participants, visitors and variety and diversity of dates on display.

Mohamed Mosbeh Al Tunaiji, General Coordinator of the Al Dhaid Dates Festival, revealed the success of the activities of the sixth edition of the Al Dhaid Dates Festival, which was held over four days, and saw the presence and interaction of palm owners, farmers and participating government agencies.

The Festival, organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was launched under the theme "The Aroma of The Past... The Blossoming Present".

Al Tunaiji expressed his thanks and gratitude for the great and unremitting support of the festival by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

Speaking exclusively to “Sharjah 24”, he explained that the festival's competitions witnessed great participation from farmers and palm owners.
