WDU honours agencies the met disabled-friendly standards

Sharjah24: Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadim, Vice President of World Disability Union (WDU), honored a number of institutions that implement environmental standards for people with disabilities, and granted them accreditation certificates as disability-friendly bodies for applying the standards.
Al Gharb Comprehensive Police Station of Sharjah Police, Sharjah Livestock Market, and Double Three Hilton Hotel Sharjah were able to meet all the standards set to earn the accreditation certificate to be classified as a disabled-friendly destination.

Bin Khadim stressed that the work of the union translates the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to make Sharjah a friendly city for people with disabilities. The efforts of the union in evaluating public places in Sharjah is to make the largest possible number of places environmentally qualified and considerate for people with disabilities, and to spread the culture and standards of the World Disability Union as widely as possible, not only at the level of Sharjah or the UAE, but internationally.

The VP of the union praised all institutions for achieving the union's vision.
