Sharjah 24 – AFP: Three further senior Tory lawmakers said Saturday they will stand to replace British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, as the number of declared contenders in the already acrimonious race reached eight.
They include ex-health and finance minister Sajid Javid, current finance minister Nadhim Zahawi -- only in that post since Tuesday -- and former health secretary Jeremy Hunt, who was runner-up to Johnson in the last leadership race in 2019.
