Sharjah 24: In the presence of His Excellency Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, the Friends of Arthritis Patients launched, on Saturday, a summer campaign on the waterfront in the city of Kalba.
This comes with the participation of more than 150 people who walked on the beach of Kalba, aiming to shed light on the awareness of arthritis, and the need to unify efforts to help patients to face its challenges and educate through lectures and various events about the importance of walking, nutrition and health consultations.
The event continues in various cities of the Emirate of Sharjah, in the presence of a number of community members in the UAE, and the Friends of Arthritis Patients and its members.
Her Excellency Waheeda Abdelaziz, Chairperson of the Friends of Arthritis Patients, expressed her happiness with the launch of the campaign, which comes in line with the directives of the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah.
Her Excellency indicated that the campaign is one of the means to bring about positive change in society, by mobilising support for patients, and at the same time maintaining physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle, which is one of the objectives of the event.
