The department announced that the campaign is a step to make the rationalisation of electricity consumption a lifestyle among government and private agencies participating in the initiative.
Engineer Ghada Jumaa Salem, Director of the Conservation Department, explained that government departments, private companies, community members, and several Arab and international organisations interacting with this initiative by stopping the use of non-essential electrical appliances daily from 12 pm to 6 pm for two months, promotes achieving significant positive results and spreading a culture of rationalisation and preservation of natural resources.
She pointed out that this year, the authority launched several different programmes to promote the rationalisation campaign targeting all groups and sectors of society, including activities on social media and other media platforms to support and promote the initiative through Zulal factory water bottles.
