Sharjah24: Mleiha Sports Club obtained a certificate of the International Federation of the Handicapped for places that are environmentally qualified for people with disabilities, becoming the first sports club in the country to obtain this certificate after rehabilitating all its facilities to be handicapped-friendly.
Mleiha Club deserved the certificate after fulfilling all the requirements for the inclusion of people with disabilities in all the club’s halls and facilities and enabling them to practice sports, cultural and social activities in line with the nature of their needs.
Under this certificate, the club ensures that the disabled can benefit from all the club's services with ease, achieve their access to sports sites, deal with management, join all activities and use the club smoothly.
On this occasion, His Excellency Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadim, Vice President of the World Federation of the Disabled, honored the Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club with the certificate of the World Federation of the Disabled for the places that are environmentally qualified for people with disabilities. The club is awarded in the presence of His Excellency Mohammed Sultan Al Khasooni, Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors, Nasser Al Mahrezi, Member of the Club’s Board of Directors, Chairman of the Strategic Planning Committee, and Dr. Ahmed Fouad Al-Baqari.
His Excellency Mohammed Sultan Al Khasooni, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Maliha Sports Club, expressed the pride of the club and the club’s family in this certificate, which is the result of continuous work that the club sought with the support of the Sharjah Sports Council to be the first club adapted for the disabled.
In turn, His Excellency Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadim congratulated Mleiha Sports Club on this achievement by receiving this certificate in accordance with the requirements of the World Federation of the Handicapped.
