Sultan bin Ahmed inaugurates SBA’s administrative building

Sharjah 24: Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, inaugurated today, Tuesday, the administrative building of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA).
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed toured the various sections and departments of the new building, which was designed and implemented with the best and latest technologies, to enhance administrative work to continue SBA’s achievements and pioneering media work through its various channels, radios and all media tools, and to contribute to providing an attractive and distinguished work environment.

The Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council familiarised himself with the building’s financial, human resources, digital media, radio programme evaluation, marketing and government communication departments, as well as the Sharjah Media Training Centre.

The building includes 90 offices that have been designed in a homogeneous manner that enhances the teamwork environment and facilitates the mechanism of communication between departments and employees, and contributes to urging employees to work more efficiently and effectively. The building also includes training rooms equipped with the latest audio-visual systems to receive and train staff and students. These rooms can also be used for remote training in keeping with technical development. The building also includes a meeting room.

On the sidelines of the opening of the building, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi met with the SBA’s departments’ directors. During the meeting, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed reviewed the most prominent media projects that the SBA is working on, the plans of the programme courses, and the most important future challenges.

During the opening and tour, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi was accompanied by Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, Director General of the SBA, Rashid Abdullah Al Obed, Director of the SBA, and Hassan Yaqoub Al Mansouri, Secretary General of the Sharjah Media Council.
