Sharjah Ruler gifs HQA 93 rare antique copies of the Quran

Sharjah 24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, gifted 93 rare antique Qurans to the Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah.
Sheikh Sherzad Abdul Rahman Taher, Secretary General of Holy Quran Academy, confirmed the receipt of the new set of antique Qurans presented by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, to the academy.

Speaking exclusively to “Sharjah 24”, Sheikh Sherzad said that the set dates back to 300 to 600 years collected from different eras and various countries in the Asian continent, and written in different fonts.

Sheikh Sherzad explained the new set will undergo several procedural stages including archiving, evaluation, technical treatment, restoration or chemical treatment to preserve them from damage and erosion. Then it will be scanned to be displayed on the Academy’s website.

The Secretary-General of the HQA added that the Quran and manuscripts donated by the Ruler of Sharjah will be displayed to the visitors in the academy’s largest hall after a few days.
