Sharjah24: The Criminal Investigation Department of the General Command of Sharjah Police, in cooperation with Child Rights Protection Center, managed to find the mother of a two-month-old child who left him in a charitable association in the Emirate of Sharjah with the aim of getting rid of him. She was arrested within (5) hours of receiving the report after the incident.
The details of the incident are due to the receipt of a report by the Central Operations Room in the General Command of Sharjah Police at 5pm from a charitable association in the emirate, stating that a two-month-old foundling was found abandoned in the charity, after ignoring the guard, who entered the association and left the child and left to an unknown destination, according to what was seen through the imaging equipment located at the location of the communication.
Accordingly, the concerned teams moved to the site of the incident to discuss the circumstances, where the child was transferred by the national ambulance to a specialised hospital to conduct the necessary medical examinations and check on the child’s health condition, which turned out to be stable.
The efforts of investigations, criminal teams and police stations in the jurisdiction resulted in the quick identification of the offender in less than 5 hours, as it turned out that she was a woman from arab nationalities.
Colonel Omar Bualzod, Director of Criminal Investigations Department, indicated that the work teams began searching and investigating the woman to reach her as quickly as possible. She explained that what she had done came as a result of an out of wedlock, and she decided to get rid of him, and accordingly a report was drawn up on the incident, and legal measures were taken regarding it.
