Al Shamsi receives member from UNESCO

Sharjah24: His Excellency Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, received at the headquarters of Dr. Dirk Woodgate, Senior Future Foresight Expert, President of the Future Lab, and a member of the World Federation for Future Studies of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), in the presence of Colonel Tariq Al-Midfa, Director of the Strategy and Performance Development Department, and a number of specialised officers in the Innovation and Future Foresight Department.
At the beginning of the meeting, Major General Al Shamsi praised the efforts made by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and its lofty message in consolidating the foundations of intellectual and global solidarity, and its developmental role in promoting innovation and achieving sustainable benefits.

During the meeting, they discussed a number of common issues aimed at enhancing the forward-looking vision in the field of future foresight, including the mechanism for applying the outputs of future scenarios of the Sharjah Police General Command, which was prepared within the program of the Future Foresight Laboratory, which was launched last December during the country's celebrations of the golden jubilee.

The meeting also discussed the stages of launching the "Future Readiness" award, which will be launched under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.
