Sharjah 24: "NAMA for the Advancement of Women" organized a workshop on "The Mechanism for establishing equality between men and women a strategic priority in the workplace" as part of a series of workshops focusing on women's empowerment.
Based on statistics and studies indicating the existence of a gap between men and women in the labour market, specifically in the private sector, "NAMA for the Advancement of Women" launched a series of workshops under the title "The future of work integrates both sexes" under the umbrella of the Ertiqa platform, which was launched in 2019 to bring private companies together in order to implement fair practices between men and women.
Linda Sabarini, a consultant and social auditor, stated that the "The Mechanism for establishing equality between men and women a strategic priority in the workplace" is among the series of workshops that the NAMA is working on with the aim of empowering women and strengthening their position in the work sectors.
Speaking to “Sharjah 24”, Sabarini confirmed that the aim of the workshop is to focus on gender equality in the workplace and to develop a strategic plan for institutions in order to empower women in the labour market and avoid future inequality.
