Sharjah24: Expo Centre Sharjah signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Gulf Madhyamam (GM) to organize the 8th Edition of EduCafé, the most visited Educational Event in GCC with several years of expertise in the education events sector, from 19th to 22nd October.
The agreement was signed by HE Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, and Mr. Mohammed Salim Ambalam, Regional Director at Gulf Madhyamam, in the presence of several officials from both sides. The exhibition is set to feature numerous educational institutions, increasing networking opportunities for students in Grade 10 and above.
The four-day event will have a significant impact on the UAE's Indian community in terms of gathering, networking, and planning for their children's educational future. The first two days of the show, October 19th and 20th, will be allocated for school visits, while October 21st and 22nd, Friday and Saturday, will be reserved for parent visits.
The exhibition will take place in conjunction with the 18th Edition of the International Education Show (IES), and is recognized as the largest Indian educational career guidance fair in the GCC. This initiative will witness the participation of more than 75 educational institutions, that will present a wide range of the most prominent academic, specialized, and professional education programs, approved and compatible with the requirements of the labor market, familiarizing students with the mechanisms and steps for admission, registration, and grant programs available during the exhibition days.

With EduCafé on board, this would be a great opportunity not just for Indian Universities and other education institutions based in India to participate in the exhibition, but also for the vast Indian population residing in the UAE.

International Education Show, now in its 18th edition, has been running successfully over the years and has been supported by the Ministry of Education, Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA), and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).

Global reputation
In his remarks, Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, stated, “the International Education Show attracting the most important international companies and institutions specialized in the field of education confirms the exhibition's leading regional and global reputation and the continuous successes it achieves, especially in light of the Expo Center Sharjah's eagerness to provide all of the organizational and promotional elements to develop this event and enable it to achieve its goals to further improve the position of the Emirate of Sharjah as an ideal environment for the academic and research community. The exhibition also supports one of the most prominent goals of the ‘UAE Centennial 2071’ Plan.”
He expressed his pleasure at having signed the MoU with Gulf Madhyamam, noting that this was not their first agreement together and that they had partnered in the past, particularly for "Come on Kerala," one of the largest Indian International trade shows.

Al Midfa stressed that the 18th session of the International Education Exhibition 2022 would be full of participations that enrich the educational process, and that this agreement constitutes a positive step toward strengthening these participations.

“It’s a pleasure to have the entire team here with us, and we're thrilled to have the EduCafé, which is part of the International Education Show, cooperating with the UAE Ministry of Education," he added.

Furthermore, the CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah maintained, "The upcoming expo is significant not only for the Indian community in India, but also for those who live here in the UAE."
"Sharjah has always welcomed Gulf Madhyamam," Al Midfa said, adding, "We are quite pleased and hope to see this show in October be a success and run every year."

Several academic programs
For his part, Mohammed Salim Ambalam pointed out that the selection of the Expo Center Sharjah to host the eighth edition of EduCafé, stems from the successes it achieved with the annual International Education Show, as it has become one of the most prominent events specialized in higher education and studies.

He further noted that this agreement will allow students to visit and learn about the most important Indian educational and academic institutions, as well as the steps for admission and registration, especially since the Republic of India offers a wide range of globally recognized study programs, with hundreds of universities and thousands of colleges to choose from, among other benefits that make India one of the best options for students.
