Sharjah24: Within the framework of joint coordination, Al Khalidiya Suburb Council, in cooperation with the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, has begun to allocate a vehicle for collecting and preserving food which will then distribute food to needy families.
Al Khaldiya Suburb Council revealed that the vehicle is allocated on a daily basis in the suburb to receive food from the people, starting from today from eight to ten in front of the headquarters of the Suburb Council building in the city of Sharjah.
This comes after an agreement was reached between the Council and the Authority to allocate a date for the presence of the vehicle designated for preserving foods that collects the surplus food for families and directs distribution to workers and the needy as an alternative to using food refrigerators in the suburb due to health problems and the abuses they cause.
His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Al Marri, Chairman of Council, stressed the importance of activating the project in the areas of Al Khalidiya Suburb, which contributes to helping the people to provide more than their needs of food, and then directly distribute it to the deserving.
