SCC delegation received His Excellency Salem Ali Al Muhairi, Chairman of Sharjah Municipal Council, accompanied by His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Salem bin Hamouda Al Ketbi, Vice Chairman of the Council and the heads of the Municipal Council committees, His Excellency Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director General of Sharjah Municipality, and Majid Abdullah Bukhatir, Secretary of the Municipal Council.
The delegation of SCC included His Excellency Dr. Shaheen Ishaq Al Mazmi, Chairman of the Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee, His Excellency Dr. Hamid Jassim Al Suwaiji Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Education, Youth, Culture and Media Affairs Committee, and a number of members.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency Salem Ali Al Muhairi, , stressed the importance of integrating the roles between the Municipal Council and SCC, pointing to the importance of converging roles in enhancing the quality of services in all fields, to achieve the aspirations of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, establishing councils to meet the population needs.
His Excellency Ali Mehad Al Suwaidi, praised the importance of the joint coordination to review Sharjah community needs, especially after Sharjah achieved many successes such as a child-friendly city, an age-friendly city, a city of sports and culture, improving the quality of life through the different services.
At the end of the visit, His Excellency Ali Mehad Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Sharjah Consultative Council presented the shield of the Council to His Excellency Salem Ali Al Muhairi, Chairman of Sharjah Municipal Council, who presented in return the shield of the Municipal Council to His Excellency Ali Mehad Al Suwaidi in appreciation of this communication and coordination of joint actions in order to achieve the aspirations of the wise leadership.
