Sharjah 24: Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF) (Al Tamkeen) has paid the costs of treatment and health support worth more than 100 thousand dirhams, during the first quarter of this year, benefiting 29 orphans and 7 custodians, with the aim of promoting public health and providing optimal health care.
The health services provided, whereas the Foundation sought to pay attention to the health aspect and give it a great priority, contribute to cover the expenses of patients treatment, provide medical assistance, bear the costs of performing surgeries, provid them with medical supplies, devices and special equipment for people of determination, in addition to issue and renew health cards for beneficiaries, conduct specialised examinations for orphans with learning difficulties, and provide dental examinations.

Nawal Al Hamidi, Director of the Social Welfare Department at the Foundation, stated that ome orphans and widows face unstable health conditions, in addition to their low economic conditions, which hinders their ability to receive treatment, so the Foundation, in turn, directs the necessary care to affiliated families who are unable to afford medical expenses, providing them with various types of health support necessary to ensure that they enjoy good health. She added that health empowerment programmes have been directed to provide health care to them and provide them with all the services and medical requirements they need.

On the other hand, the Foundation also provided awareness programmes and practical workshops on various health issues directed at 63 custodians and 17 orphans with the aim of educating them on important health aspects in their lives to help build knowledge and awareness.

Through the health empowerment programme, the Foundation aims to educate the Foundation’s members on the basics of public health and raise their level of awareness with the aim of adopting and implementing an ideal lifestyle, meeting the needs of families and their children, and providing them with the necessary support.
