After a tour, the guest delegation was briefed on the educational and training programmes followed by the SCHS in educating and training persons with disabilities in accordance with the best international practices.
Professor Blatch stressed that the aim of the visit was to consolidate, develop and work on the cooperation relations dating back more than 12 years between the two sides.
Professor Blatch expressed his great happiness with this cooperation, which is in the interest of both sides, praising the great effort that the SCHS has made for 42 years, and its tireless quest to include, advocate and empower people with disabilities, in all fields.
For her part, the Director of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS) praised the cooperation with the HCT in Sharjah, stressing that the SCHS’s doors are open to university students, from inside and outside the country, for practical training, and to have the skills to deal with people with disabilities and their parents.
Her Excellency added that the SCHS has previously employed many female students who were trained with it, and this training, whether they are employed in the SCHS or a health or social institution, benefits them and the community.
