Sharjah Int’l Aquabike Championship kicks off Saturday

Sharjah 24: The first round of the Sharjah International Aquabike Championship, will start on the beach of Dibba Al Hisn, on Saturday.
The Championship is the first of its kind and bears the name of the emirate of Sharjah. 
 
The Sharjah International Marine Sports Club announced the organisation of the first championship of its kind, named after the emirate for water bikes, which is scheduled to start on Saturday, 21st of Mays.

The Championship includes five rounds over the different beaches of Sharjah cities, where the start will be in the city of Dibba Al Hisn, passing through Al Hamriyah, then the third round in Kalba, then Khorfakkan beach will receive the fourth round, and the city of Sharjah will see the fifth and final round.

The Championship attracts a group of international and local stars, with more than 70 participants from a number of countries, including France, Japan and Hungary.

The champions participating in Sharjah International Aquabike Championship will compete in four categories: open seated, open standing 4 stroke, standing veteran 2 stroke, and junior 2 stroke.

The Championship aims to attract and involve talented athletes in local and international tournaments to gain experience that allow new talents to participate in local and international championships.

On the other hand, the club provides the opportunity for young people to gain arbitration experiences through managing the tournament, organising marine races of all kinds, and refining and qualifying them to participate in international tournaments as arbitrators and organisers in marine sports.
