Sharjah24: His Excellency Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, Chairman of the Sharjah Book Authority, confirmed that the International Booksellers Conference is the first conference of its kind in the world for book distributors, with the participation of more than 384 book distributors from 56 countries, who met here in Sharjah.

He added to “Sharjah 24” that organising the book distributors conference and meeting them here, through which we affirm that Sharjah's great cultural message is to transfer culture and books and distribute them worldwide. Sharjah today has become the main hub for the book industry in the world, and it is an actual translation of the visions of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

Al Ameri pointed out that Sharjah supports the publishing industry in the Arab world, which is an opportunity to distribute Arabic books worldwide, import books from countries around the world to the Arab world, and the International Booksellers Conference is a meeting point between different cultures, in light of the participation of this large number of book publishers, and we do not We forget that book publishers in the Arab world are also book distributors, while in the world there are other mechanisms.
