Sharjah24: Sheikh Dr. Salem Al Doubi, Head of the Preaching Department of the Islamic Affairs Department in Sharjah, highlighted during the 10th and the last episode of the religious programme "Ramadan sermons", the significance of Zakat Al-Fitr, pointing out that it enables the poor to celebrate Eid Al-Fitr along with the rest of the Muslims, serves to purify one's soul at the end of Ramadan, as well as it is the manifestation of solidarity and strengthening social bonds among Muslims.
In the last episodes, which are broadcast on the website and social media platforms of “Sharjah 24”, Dr. Al-Dobi stressed that Zakat al-Fitr is the special obligatory alms paid by all Muslims at the end of the Ramadan fasting month, adding that it strengthens bonds among Muslims together throughout the world
He added that Zakat Al-Fitr is a special kind of charity because it purifies the fasting person of the shortcomings in his or her observance of fasting during the month of Ramadan.
