Sharjah 24: The Family Affairs Committee of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) of the praised the achievements of the Ramadan panel discussion organised within the committee’s activities for the holy month of Ramadan under the title (Family is a Civilisation Project) on the twentieth of April.
The committee expressed happiness with the recommendations and opinions put forward to enhance all efforts aimed at promoting the family cohesion.

The Family Affairs Committee stressed that it will prepare a family session by the end of this year to discuss issues that pay attention to family members and achieve their stability.

This came during the committee's meeting, which was held, on Friday, at SCC headquarters in Sharjah, within the framework of the work of SCC for the third regular session of the tenth legislative term.

The meeting was chaired by H.E. Fatima Ali AlMuhairi, chairperson of the committee, and attended by H.E. Jassim Juma Al Mazmi, the committee’s rapporteur, and other SCC members.

At the beginning of the meeting, the committee expressed its happiness with the rational leadership’s interest in the family through the decision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah to restructure the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah and to take care of the family and food through the establishment of the Family Affairs Authority and the Agriculture, and Livestock Department within the framework of His Highness’s vision to enhance the stability of society by securing food and complete the visions of family cohesion.

The committee discussed a number of its roles during the coming period within the framework of its plans to take care of the family and members of society. The committee, through its members, indicated the importance of continuing to submit questionnaires to find out the opinion of the community on its needs for programmes concerned with the family.
