Sharjah24: Dibba team was crowned champion of the Football First Division after defeating Hatta during the 30th and final round of the competition, which was held at Dibba Stadium, on Friday.
Officially, the Dibba team was crowned the champion of the first football league for the current season, after beating Nadeta, 2-1, during the match that brought the two teams together on Friday evening at Dibba Stadium. Dibba won Nadeta within the 30th and final round of the competition, and Dibba won the championship title with 75 points, to be promoted to the "ADNOC Pro League", for the next season 2022-2023, along with Al Bataeh Club.
 
Youssef Hussein Al Sahlawi, Second Vice-President of the Federation, crowned Dibba Team, in the presence of Ahmed bin Darwish, member of the Board of Directors of the Football Association, Chairman of the Competitions Committee, Mohammed Saeed Al Dhanhani, Director of the Emiri Court in Fujairah, Ahmed Saeed Al-Dhanhani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dibba and Dibba team players, with the league shield and gold medals, amid massive celebrations from the team's fans, who cheered the players throughout the two halves of the match.
 
The coronation ceremony of the first league champion began with honouring the refereeing staff for the Dibba Hatta match, which was moderated by Abdullah Al Naqbi, Ali Saeed Al Naqbi “First Assistant”, Yasser Al Murshidi “Second Assistant”, and Ali Mumdil Malallah, followed by crowning the players with gold medals.
 
Dibba team deserved to win the league title, after leading the competition and playing 28 games over the first and second rounds, during which they won 24 matches, drew 3, and lost in one match, to score 75 points, in addition to being the most powerful attacker with 73 goals, the best defense, conceding 15 goals, while Brazilian striker Diego Silva topped the scorer list with 28 goals.
