Panel discussion by SMA to highlight intercultural dialogue

Sharjah24: A panel discussion that will be organized by Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA) on the sidelines of "Wonder & Inspiration : Venice and the Arts of Islam” exhibition, will focus on the role of institutions in strengthening intercultural dialogue.
Held under the title "The Role of UAE Institutions in Cross Cultural Dialogue”, the online panel discussion will draw attention to the importance of private and public institutions’ effort in supporting cross cultural dialogue and exchange, in response to the directives of the wise leadership and the country’s national strategy for the next fifty years.

Moderated by Manal Ataya, Director General of SMA, the virtual discussion will see the participation of His Excellency Sheikh Fahim bin Sultan bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Executive Chairman of Sharjah’s Department of Government Relations, Andrea Bellieni, Curator, Museo Correr, MUVE ,Fondazione Musei Civici, Laila Binbrek, Coordinating Director of the United Arab Emirates(UAE) National Pavilion at the Biennale di Venezia, and  Dr. Valeria Café, Curator, Museo Correr, ,MUVE, Fondazione Musei Civici.
 
The one-hour talk which will begin at 6:00pm on May 10 is part of the general program accompanying the "Wonder & Inspiration : Venice and the Arts of Islam” exhibition, which includes a number of  activities, and seminars that highlight a number of relevant significant topics. The exhibition is in collaboration with Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia, Italy.

The exhibition, which runs until July 2, 2022, aims to demonstrate the cultural and artistic exchanges between Venice and the Islamic culture along the period between the Middle Ages and the Modern Age by displaying 72 objects at the Sharjah Museum of Islamic civilization.
