SCI allocates AED2.6 million for Zakat Al Fitr project

SCI launches first phase of aid for Bangladesh flood victims

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Charity International (SCI) announced that it has allocated 2.6 million dirhams for the Zakat Al Fitr project from its Ramadan campaign.
This includes the distribution of 130,000 bags of rice to 15,000 families of the eligible categories, it includes those registered at its headquarters, all affiliated cities and regions, and distributions continue until dawn on the Eid Al Fitr.

Abdullah bin Khadim, Executive Director of the SCI, stated that the SCI continues to receive the donations of benefactors who wish to represent the SCI on their behalf in distributing their zakat at the rate of 20 dirhams per individual, to be delivered to the beneficiaries registered in the SCI.

For his part, Nasser Masoud Bilal, Head of the Branches Sector, Director of the SCI’s Administration in Kalba, pointed out the importance of early payment of Zakat dues, to enable the SCI to perform its charitable and humanitarian role in delivering it to its beneficiaries at the appropriate time and place.
